I have often joked that smokers and drinkers are perhaps the most social people in the planet. Smokers especially (I don’t condone the habit) – are perhaps the most spontaneous and peace loving people left on earth. What with the spontaneity of meeting up and lighting up without an intro or a warning even with complete strangers! Try even saying hello to a teaholic and see how quickly you get that squint of disapproval! The conclusion will almost be immediate – that you definitely must be a stalker or a pyscho!
Peace my hombres! Can’t we just be friends?
At this point I’m almost tempted to encourage a level of smokitude or some convivial spirits to inspire some of us to loosen up. Quite honestly, can’t we just be friends?
Yeah, I struggle with the idea of people being too uptight and serious all the time – others are even married to gadgets or prefer to be glued to some bloody screen!
Come on seriously – there’s more to life than selfies, your headsets and your iWhatever! No wonder dating is such a difficult do for singles this days!
Why can’t we just be friends? What happened to good old fashioned ‘How are ya’… and chit chat. No qualms, by all means Tweet, WhatsApp, Facebook and whatever. ……but after all that can we just be friends?
It’s Friday today – perfect day to throw those gadgets aside and bond with real people.
Fire up your Smokitude – without the smoke of course and get social for real!
